Freehand sketches

 


 These are a collection of quick freehand sketches. For this study I used an architectural sketching style known as the wobbly line technique which involved putting a purposeful wiggle into a straight line giving a freshness to lines and actually giving the illusion they are straighter.

Our relationship with the built environment is constantly evolving as architecture, now more than ever, has such a significant influence on people and their perception of a place. I am inspired by the opportunity to study architecture at MSA and be a part of this influence through exploring endless, creative possibilities. A building which I recently visited was Casa Mila, designed by architect Antonio Gaudi. I was captivated by the innovation of the design and how the building integrates within the city of Barcelona whilst also expressing individuality and providing significant variation to its surroundings
